Delivered by Silver Knight Academy (formally the BFI Future Film Academy)

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR THIS YEAR

Our intensive BFI Film Academy Short Course offers hands on filmmaking workshops, technical training and talks from filmmakers actively working in the film industry. In the past we have had Robbie Ryan (Cinematographer), post production house Molinare, Sundance award winning directors and our alumni that are now working at Warner Brothers, Lucas Film hold talks with our students.

Along side our talks, you will work in a team towards the completion of a professional short film. You will be working with industry professionals and industry standard camera and lighting equipment, as well as experimental techniques such as Super 8mm, 16mm film, mini DV and mobile phone videography. Our past students films have screened in Croatia, Italy, Germany and London.

Once you have completed the course, you will become part of the growing BFI Film Academy alumni network with access to opportunities such as BAFTA mentorships.
