Silver Knight Entertainment Zine Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
Open to individuals 16-25 years old at the time of the deadline. Those under 18 must have the permission of a guardian.
By entering, participants confirm that they meet eligibility requirements.
2. Submission Requirements
Work must be original, they may have previously submitted to other competitions or already screened. The work could have been made at any time e.g. the film could be 5 years old or made the day before the deadline!
The content must not include offensive, explicit, or illegal material.
Language: English or with an English translation.
3. Submission Process
Submissions must be received by 11th May 2026 5pm GMT (extensions can be given if you are making a film speficially for the this comp, please email us on our contact page)
Format: PDF, JPG. or MP3 (for voice notes).
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The young person retains ownership of their film and all associated intellectual property rights.
By entering, participants grant Silver Knight Entertainment a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, screen, and promote their work for competition-related activities, including public screenings, online promotion, and educational use.
Participants warrant that they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions, including music and third-party content, and that their work does not infringe upon any third-party rights.
5. Judging Criteria
Work will be judged internally by SKE.
We will aim to include as much as possible in the zine, there is no set number of work selected.
6. Prizes
You will receive a copy of the zine.
Silver Knight Entertainment reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equal value if necessary.
7. Publicity and Promotion
By entering, participants agree to allow Silver Knight Entertainment to use their name, and work details for promotional purposes.
Participants may be required to participate in publicity events, including interviews and social media promotions, without additional compensation.
8. Disqualification
Silver Knight Entertainment reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with these terms or that is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
Any attempt to manipulate the competition, including fraudulent voting or spamming, will result in disqualification.
9. Limitation of Liability
Silver Knight Entertainment is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, network issues, or submission errors that may result in incomplete entries.
By entering, participants release Silver Knight Entertainment from any claims, liabilities, and damages arising from their participation in the competition or the use of their film as permitted by these terms.
10. Data Protection
Personal data collected during the submission process will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and in accordance with [privacy policy].

Are you aged 16–25 and looking for something to kick-start your creativity? We’re setting you a creative challenge and selected work will be published in a physical zine distributed to independent cinemas.
Respond to one of the prompts below in any way you wish, photography, art, poems, even a voice note and we will transcribe.

We will be holding a graphic design workshop to help put the zine together. It will then be physically printed and distributed to independent cinema’s and venues!
